Is it mandatory to have impact windows at my home?
Hurricane-prone regions throughout Florida are considered “wind-borne debris territories.” In these zones, shutters, plywood, or impact products are required for residential remodels and new construction. Miami-Dade and Broward counties have the most stringent codes in the United States and require even more protection. If you are unsure about the building codes in your area, an authorized impact dealer can help you.
Will someone from my household have to be present during the installation?
Yes. An adult will need to be at home for the installation to answer any questions your installers may have pertaining to installation. Also, our installers will need to have inside access to your home to ensure that everything is installed to our high-quality standards. No worries about a mess though. Our team leaves your home as clean as they found it.
Are the windows installed from the inside or outside?
To ensure proper anchoring, weatherproofing, and installation in general, both inside and outside access to your home will be needed.
What kind of preparations do I need to make for installation day?
Please remove any window treatments and security sensors from the window. Also, please, move any furniture to make a clear path to the work area.
Who gets rid of the old windows?
We do. As is typical with any contract for home improvement, it is usually the contractor’s responsibility to dispose of debris and provide for cleanup.
Will the window installation process create a mess in my home?
No. Our installation crews are practiced in the art of their trade. No mess, no fuss. They will leave your home as they found it.
